Scuba diving is another way to experience the Caribbean and all
its hidden beauty. Go under the waters of the Atlantic Ocean is
Sosua, only a 15 minute drive from the Puerto Plata International

PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) certified.
Certified schools will offer you and your family proper training
and assistance for safety and professionalism. If you don't want
to go as deep as 40 feet in the water, you can snorkel on the
surface of the waters too.
Sosua bay is the perfect place to scuba dive and snorkel because
the waters are warm and calm. If your not a beginner diver then
there are other places for your adventures.
There are plenty of hard and soft corals, sponges and fish, with
the average water temperature between 26°C and 29°C. Occasional
visitors to our shores include Manta Rays, Whales, Nurse Sharks
and Whale Sharks. Visibility in winter is around 12 metres and
during the summer this increases to up to 35 meters. Diving in
Sosua is easy and fun which makes it a great place for beginners
too.
